Ensure your hearing aids are paired with your mobile device, and that Bluetooth® is enabled.

Turn off any type of battery-saving mode on your mobile device.

Stop any other apps to avoid disturbances.

Preparing your hearing aids

If your hearing aids have disposable batteries, insert new ones.

If your hearing aids have rechargeable batteries, ensure they are fully charged.

Preparing your situation

Ensure you are in a quiet place with little or no background noise.

Position yourself where there is a stable Internet connection.

How to begin your meeting

It’s important to ensure you maintain a strong and reliable Internet connection for the duration of the meeting. This ensures any changes to your hearing aids can be successfully completed.

1

Open the Philips HearLink 2 app

If you are not signed into your Philips account, sign in to the Remote fitting feature.

At the bottom left of your screen (on the tab bar), tap the More icon.

2

Tap Remote Fitting

If you have not signed into your account, you will be asked to do so.

Connecting to your hearing aids

Your hearing care professional will establish a remote connection to your hearing aids. When this has been successfully completed, the L and R graphics on your screen will change from blinking to steady green. You will not be able to stream the call audio once your provider hits connect. It will automatically switch to speaker phone. You can turn up the sound level using the volume buttons on the side of the phone.

Checking your hearing remotely

Your hearing care professional may remotely check if your hearing loss has changed, so they know how to fine-tune the settings of your hearing aids.

Ensure you are in a quiet place with little or no background noise. Too much background noise can affect the results.

Wear your hearing aids correctly and as previously advised.

Applying new hearing aid settings

When your hearing care professional uploads new settings or configurations to your hearing aids, the L and R graphics change colour and blink orange.

When the new settings have been successfully saved to your hearing aids, the L and R graphics change colour to steady green again.

Restarting hearing aids

When you and your hearing care professional agree to end the meeting, the hearing care professional will restart your hearing aids (turning them off and then on again).

Ending the meeting

When your hearing care professional ends the meeting, a screen appears saying Visit ended.

Tap OK.

Now you can use your hearing aids as you normally do.
