How to pair your hearing aids with a computer?

You can connect your PC to your hearing aids, to stream audio and have video or audio calls.

Before you start

Newer Windows computers that support Bluetooth^® LE Audio can pair with modern Philips hearing aids that also support Bluetooth LE Audio.

Most iPads and Macs can pair with Philips hearing aids using Made for iPhone (MFI) technology.

Selected Android phones and tablets can pair with Bernafon hearing aids using Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA) technology.

First, pair your hearing aids with your Philips AudioClip

How to pair your hearing aids directly to a computer.

Note: Your hearing aids must support Bluetooth LE Audio.

Your computer must be running Windows 11 version 22H2 or newer.

Your computer needs to have Bluetooth LE Audio support enabled by the manufacturer of the PC.

Bluetooth LE Audio is not supported on Windows 10 or Windows 11, version 21H2. Some Windows 11 computers that currently do not support LE Audio may gain support for it in the future through operating system software updates from the manufacturer.

You can check for LE Audio support on computer by doing the following:

Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth and Devices.
Select Devices and go to Devices Settings.
Look for a checkbox titled Use LE Audio when available. Ensure this setting is turned on to use LE Audio. If this setting is not available, your PC does not currently support LE Audio.

Restart your hearing aids

Restart your hearing aids by placing them in the charger and removing them again. Your hearing aids will now be in pairing mode for the next three minutes. Your PC will now be able to detect your hearing aids via Bluetooth.

Turn on Bluetooth

Turn on Bluetooth on your Windows 11 computer or laptop*. Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & Devices and turn on Bluetooth.

Connect your hearing aids

In the same menu on your computer (Start > Settings > Bluetooth & Devices) click the button marked Add Device. Select the name of your hearing aids from the list of available devices to connect. You are now ready to stream audio and make hands-free calls.

Note:

Call handling using the buttons or tapping your hearing aid is not supported when connected to a PC. To accept or end calls, use must use your computer. The buttons on your hearing aid will adjust volume.

Your hearing aids must support Bluetooth LE Audio. Your computer must be running Windows 11 version 22H2 or later. Your computer must have Bluetooth LE Audio support enabled by the manufacturer.

How to stream audio from your computer using Philips AudioClip

Ensure Philips AudioClip is powered off

Press and hold the multi-button for approximately six seconds until the power indicator is off.

Turn your hearing aids off

For hearing aids with disposable batteries, open the battery drawer.

For rechargeable hearing aids, turn them off by pressing the lower button of each hearing aid for three seconds.

Turn your hearing aids on

For hearing aids with disposable batteries, close the battery drawer.

For rechargeable hearing aids, turn them on by pressing the lower button of each hearing aid for two seconds.

Your hearing aids are now ready for the first connection with the Philips AudioClip. You now have three minutes to complete the pairing.

Turn Philips AudioClip on

Press and hold multi-button for approximately three seconds, until power indicator shows steady green.

Philips AudioClip will now search for your hearing aids. The status indicator will blink yellow.

Establish a connection

Place Philips AudioClip close to your hearing aids, at a maximum distance of 20 cm.

A successful connection is indicated by the status indicator showing steady yellow.

Next, connect the Philips AudioClip to your PC

Turn on your Philips AudioClip.

Go to your computer’s Bluetooth^® menu.

Select Philips AudioClip and connect to it.
